Report: Carlo Ancelotti set for huge January clear-out, five players could leave
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is ready for a huge clear-out this month, with five players looking likely to leave the club. The Italian is set to make wholesale changes after being left unimpressed with the performance of his side against a young Liverpool side on Sunday.
Gylfi Sigurdsson will headline the list of Everton men heading for an exit amid some disappointing performances. The Iceland international has scored just once this season and has made a habit of going missing in games.

According to , Cenk Tosun, Morgan Schneiderlin, Theo Walcott and Michael Keane are also set to be put up for sale by the Merseyside club. They are currently 11th in the Premier League and are in need of fresh faces.
Since Ancelotti’s arrival as manager, Everton have seen an upward slant in their form, winning twice and losing twice. The two losses came against Manchester City and Liverpool but the Italian is still determined to make changes to his current squad.

Losing any of the five names mentioned above is unlikely to have any direct impact on Everton’s performances. The club will, however, have to carefully replace the players who depart with signings that will add real quality.
Jeremie Boga is a name that has been mentioned as a possible incoming this month. The Sassuolo winger has impressed in the Serie A this season and would add goals to Everton’s side from the wide positions. It is reported that he could cost as little as £17 million, which could prove to be a bargain.
