Report: Burnley set to bid £13m for star after Leeds offer; but Whites unlikely to continue pursuit
Burnley are planning to make a £13 million bid for Maxwel Cornet, that Leeds United are unlikely to follow up on their interest in the wide-man.
Cornet has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer.

It was claimed last month that Leeds wanted Cornet amid doubts over Gjanni Alioski’s future. The Lyon star had largely played at left-back last season.
The Whites have since signed Junior Firpo. But it appeared that Victor Orta remained keen on the 24-year-old.

It was reported this week that Leeds had actually bid for Cornet. However, it would now seem that he may be more likely to join a Premier League rival.
, Burnley are set to make a £13 million bid. It is claimed that they are battling Hertha Berlin for the Ivory Coast international.
The report adds that Leeds are now unlikely to make a further move over Lyon’s asking price.
Will Leeds rue Cornet stance as Burnley prepare bid?
Cornet looks to have the potential to be an extremely impressive signing for a club this summer.
He can play all the way down the left flank. He even featured on the right wing in a cup tie with Monaco.
With that versatility, it is not hard to see why Leeds showed some interest.
Having said that, the acquisition of Firpo looks to be a fantastic piece of business. He is edging towards the prime of his career having acted as cover for Jordi Alba over the last two years.
the same amount Burnley are reportedly willing to offer for Cornet.
He may well do well if he moves to Turf Moor. But Leeds look to have made a wise decision.
