Report: Burnley eyed Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny, but are now looking elsewhere
Burnley were interested in signing Everton right-back Jonjoe Kenny, that they are now looking at Euro 2020 star Connor Roberts.
According to the Mail, the Clarets are prioritising a move for the Wales international as he is deemed to be a cheaper option than Kenny.

Roberts’s contract expires next summer.
And of course, Swansea agonisingly missed out on a Premier League return after being beaten in the play-off final last season.

Jonjoe Kenny may rue Burnley stance with Everton exit surely needed
It may be seen as a blow for Kenny, who has had an interesting couple of years.
The 24-year-old seemed to do well while with Schalke. But after struggling for game-time under Carlo Ancelotti last term, he joined Celtic on loan in January.
Unfortunately, the early promise he showed at Parkhead faded. And it seems that there has been little talk of the Hoops targeting a further deal.
Interestingly, Burnley are not the only Premier League side to have been linked with Kenny this summer.
It was recently claimed that Arsenal had considered a shock move for the defender. Unsurprisingly, the links left some fans baffled.
It does appear that Kenny needs to leave Goodison Park at this stage. So perhaps he may rue Burnley wanting to look elsewhere.
He is clearly talented. But it does appear that it is not going to happen for him on Merseyside, as things stand.
