Report: Burnley believe Spurs target Nick Pope will stay this summer

Burnley are growing confident that they will be able to hold onto Nick Pope, , amid recent reports claiming that he is a top target for Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

It was noted at the time that his asking price may prove a problem. that he would cost around £30 million.

However, he could cost considerably more than that still. that the Clarets may demand up to £50 million for the 29-year-old.

That may explain why Burnley are seemingly optimistic about keeping Pope. , the club are confident that the goalkeeper will still be at Turf Moor next season.

TBR View: Lloris form taken some pressure off Spurs

The good news for Tottenham is that it does not appear that they necessarily need a new goalkeeper this summer.

Hugo Lloris has taken a lot of the pressure off the club with some outstanding displays of late. He has certainly provided a reminder of how good he can be.

His form should allow Spurs to focus their attention, and bulk of their transfer budget, on other areas of the squad over the coming months.
