Report: Brighton wanted Arsenal man Matteo Guendouzi
Brighton are one of a dozen teams to have made an approach for Matteo Guendouzi this summer, that the Arsenal midfielder is looking set to move elsewhere.
Guendouzi’s future seems to lie away from the Emirates. As noted by Foot Mercato, his relationship with Mikel Arteta broke down following a clash with the Seagulls last season.

The 22-year-old spent this past campaign on loan with Hertha Berlin. And it appears that Arsenal are hoping to secure a permanent sale this summer.
Marseille were initially linked with a move for Guendouzi earlier this month.
, they believe that they will complete a deal for Guendouzi in the coming weeks.
In fact, it is claimed that the youngster has already spoken to Jorge Sampaoli about a move to Stade Velodrome.
Interestingly, it seems that a number of sides are set for disappointment.
According to the report, a dozen teams made approaches for Guendouzi. And one of those was apparently from Brighton.

Brighton target Guendouzi securing Arsenal exit best for all parties
Guendouzi looks to be a real talent, but it looks to be best for all if he does secure a move away.
It would appear that there is little chance of his relationship with Arteta being mended.
So the best thing he can do for Arsenal now is land them a sizeable fee that allows them to bolster their own ranks over the coming months.
The report does not share how much the Gunners are getting for Guendouzi.
But Foot Mercato does note that he is under contract at the Emirates until 2023. He cost Arsenal £8 million (via ), while that he earns £40,000-a-week.
So with plenty of time left on his contract and with Guendouzi a couple of years further into his development, Arsenal can perhaps secure a decent fee for the Frenchman.
The good news for all sides is a resolution is reportedly expected in the coming weeks.
