Report: Brighton and Burnley join Leeds in wanting Manchester United’s Dan James
Manchester United star Dan James is a wanted man this summer, with Burnley and Brighton now joining Leeds in the chase for his signature.
James has been shunted down the pecking order at Old Trafford thanks to the mega-money signing of Jadon Sancho. The Welshman was already on the periphery of things, before Sancho even arrived.
Reports in recent weeks have suggested Leeds want to sign James, with United believed to value their man at around £25m.

However, Leeds will need to battle both Burnley and Brighton if they wish to land James. That’s according to , who claim Graham Potter and Sean Dyche both admire the winger.
But all three clubs will need to hope Ole Gunnar Solskjaer changes his stance on James. Reports over the weekend suggested the Man United boss wanted to keep the Welshman for next season.
Leeds have kept tabs on James ever since they nearly landed him a few years back. A move to Elland Road fell through at the last minute, before United picked him up from .
Going to the wire
While there’s suggestions United want to keep James, it also wouldn’t be a surprise to see him loaned out or sold come the end of the window.
James needs to be playing football and while being in Manchester keeps him in contention for trophies, he won’t feature as much as he’d like.
All three clubs mentioned would be good fits for James. Leeds, you’d assume, hold an advantage given how close they came before.
But this could be one that drags on for weeks and might even come down to the wire.
