According to , Bournemouth are set to beat Brighton in the race to sign Huddersfield Town midfielder Philip Billing. The Cherries are reportedly on the verge of sealing a £15 million deal for the Dane.
There were few positives in Huddersfield’s campaign last season, as they were relegated from the Premier League. However, the performances and improvement of Billing did catch the eye. The 23-year-old was a powerhouse in the middle of the park for the Terriers. His 6’4” frame makes him an imposing presence in midfield.

The No. 8 is far more than just a battering ram though. He also impressed with his technical ability and can be a creative force in the final third. He has also previously demonstrated that he has an eye for goal from range.
Billing would be a good fit for Eddie Howe’s team. The Huddersfield man would bring an injection of additional silk and steel to the Vitality Stadium. At £15 million, this deal is something of a bargain too. He is available at such a price as he only has one year left to run on his current contract with the Yorkshire club.
It makes perfect sense for Billing to be leaving Huddersfield behind this summer too. He does not belong in the Championship, and has the potential to flourish further in the top flight.
