Report: Blackburn eye Leeds left-back Barry Douglas
Leeds United may have to brace themselves for more than one offer for Barry Douglas before the transfer window shuts, that Blackburn Rovers have joined Watford in the hunt to land the left-back.
that the Hornets were in advanced talks to sign the Scot. The 31-year-old is yet to feature in the Premier League for Marcelo Bielsa’s side having struggled for game-time during their promotion-winning campaign.

that Tony Mowbray also wants Douglas.
Of course, the two clubs will not necessarily need to sign the defender before the end of the day if they want to get a deal done.

Douglas actually played against Blackburn in the latter stages of last season. And he went on to produce an incredibly impressive performance in the 3-1 win at Ewood Park. So perhaps that display was not far from Mowbray’s mind as he considered targets.
It would be a cruel blow for Douglas to leave Elland Road. He was sold by Wolves to Leeds following their promotion in 2018.
And it appears that he could now be on the move again before playing in the top flight.
Of course, he may feel that the time has come to leave if he is not going to play for the Whites.
Stuart Dallas has been excellent at left-back this term. And he is also competing with Leif Davis and Gjanni Alioski for a chance.
So while Blackburn and Watford do not need to get a deal done before Monday’s deadline, perhaps it should not be a surprise if a move is ultimately agreed at some stage.
