Report: Besiktas want to re-sign Arsenal star Mo Elneny for a bargain fee
that Besiktas want to raid Arsenal and lure Mo Elneny back to Turkey but this time on a permanent basis, after the central midfielder spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Besiktas.
Elneny, 28, played 36 times for Besiktas last season in all competitions and impressed largely returning to the Gunners in the summer and somewhat surprisingly, being re-integrated into the Gunners side under Mikel Arteta.
The former Basel midfielder has since been in and out of the side. Before Saturday’s 4-0 win over West Brom, he had started the previous five Premier League games but was an unused substitute in the snow at the Hawthorns.
Aksam report that Besiktas are ready to open talks over a move to bring the 78-time Egypt international back to Vodafone Park this month and are readying a bargain £6.25million offer. Elneny has entered the last 18 months of his current deal.

TBR’s view Should Arsenal keep Elneny?
When all Arsenal players are fit, the Gunners boast Dani Ceballos, Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, Joe Willock, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Elneny. Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira remain on the books, but the latter is likely to depart permanently.
Maitland-Niles has starred in central midfield in the Europa League and while he is given a chance in the Premier League team, he is yet to be handed a midfield berth. Certainly, though, the England star’s performances are deserving of that.
Ceballos is only on loan and it remains to be seen whether he gets a permanent deal. But with Partey first choice and plenty of options to go alongside him, Elneny may feel a move is desirable. Arsenal should keep him, but he is hardly irreplaceable.
