Report: Bayer Leverkusen eye Liverpool outcast as replacement for Everton-bound attacker
Demarai Gray is nearing a move to Everton and Liverpool outcast Sheyi Ojo is the man they want to come in for Gray, who only joined Leverkusen in January. It looks as if Liverpool man Ojo could now be a replacement for Everton target Gray.
Having struggled at Leicester to get regular game time under Brendan Rodgers, largely thanks to the rise of Harvey Barnes, Gray chose to leave. On paper, it seemed as though he had landed himself a really good move – joining Leverkusen. He scored one and created two in 12 games.
But clearly, that form was not enough to convince Leverkusen to keep him. According to , Gray will join Everton for a bargain £1.5million fee. Leverkusen will want to replace him but without spending much, and it appears Ojo is their man. The 24-year-old has an Anfield contract until 2023.

Leverkusen is brilliant for Liverpool man Ojo, as Everton near Gray deal
Firstly, it promises to be a permanent home. The report says Liverpool are now in talks with Leverkusen. Ojo has been on loan six times since coming through the ranks at Liverpool and now at 24, he really needs to find something permanent. He was decent at Cardiff last season.
But hardly enough to suggest he is going to start for Leverkusen – producing just five goals and seven assists in 42. However, joining Leverkusen to be a squad player at the Bundesliga side is a brilliant move – not least because Leverkusen have qualified for European football.
