TBR View – Barnsley’s stance not surprising, but interested clubs should walk away

Woodrow does boast a very good return so far this season. And with Barnsley in the relegation zone, it is no surprise that the Tykes want an eye-watering fee for the striker.

And it is arguably a demand that should tempt the likes of Leeds and Forest to focus their attention elsewhere.

Woodrow is a good player. And it would make sense for any interested club to try and negotiate in the hope that they can agree a lower fee.

But if Barnsley are prepared to stand their ground, then Bielsa and Sabri Lamouchi should arguably look at other names on their wishlists as they target adding another goalscorer to their ranks.
