Report: Barnsley see £1m bid rejected for Rangers and Celtic target Lyndon Dykes
Celtic and Rangers may well be forced to scramble into action as the claims Livingston have rejected a £1m bid from Barnsley for their striker, Lyndon Dykes.
The 12-goal striker has been in fine form all season for Livingston. That form has seen him become one of the hottest properties north of the border, with both Rangers and Celtic said to be keen.

Back in June, the that both the Gers and Bhoys were keen on Dykes, but would have to pay around £2m if they were serious about landing him.
It seems, then, that Livingston are sticking to their guns and they have moved to a bid from the Tykes.

Barnsley have just sealed Championship survival. Dykes, then, fits their quota as a young and upcoming player who has potential for goals, plus a good resale value if he continues to improve.
The 24-year-old has two years left on his deal, meaning the money will need to be coughed up if Livi is going to sell.

You would assume so. They’ll not want to let Dykes slip through the net and especially not to a low-level Championship outfit like Barnsley.
The fee is not a big one, either. Both the Gers and Celtic can easily afford to part with that sort of money for a player who looks to have all the ingredients to succeed in Scotland.
Dykes will be tempted by a move to England, of course. However, surely if Gerrard or Lennon is serious, then they can blow Barnsley out of the water when it comes to personal terms?
Time will tell, it seems.
