Report: Aston Villa want to make £20m attempt to sign Liverpool ace Rhian Brewster
Aston Villa have been linked with a move to sign highly-rated striker Rhian Brewster this summer,
The Liverpool hitman is the subject of interest from Dean Smith who is desperate to add some firepower before the transfer window closes.
Brewster was lethal on loan at Swansea City during the second half of last season, firing Steve Cooper’s team to the play-offs with an 11-goal haul.

That form might earn him the chance to show Jurgen Klopp what he can do for the Premier League champions – although a departure cannot be ruled out.
Brewster will cost around £20 million, as per the reports, and Smith is desperate to add to his attacking ranks after missing out on Callum Wilson.
Klopp might choose to give the striker a chance to compete with his striking options, but selling him would raise funds for another incoming or two.
Divock Origi, although a cult hero, wasn’t in the best of form last season and supporters have tipped the academy star as a better option from the bench.
Villa survived on the final day of the 2019/20 campaign and Smith will hope his team can progress this season.
Matty Cash has been added from Forest to bolster his defensive options and tweaking his attack looks the next priority for Smith.
TBR View – Brewster could thrive at Aston Villa
Smith likes his team to get the ball wide and hit balls into the box and that could really suit Brewster.

He scored lots of goals for Swansea which showed awareness, a lethal instinct and an ability to cause chaos for defenders.
The jury is obviously still out on whether he can do it regularly in the top-flight but he’d certainly be a regular starter at Villa Park.
At 20-years-old Brewster would be a massive investment in the future and could quickly become a fan favourite in the West Midlands.
