McGinn has been outstanding since moving to the Villans from Scotland in 2018. And it appears that Dean Smith may be looking at attempting to replicate the trick when January arrives.

that Smith wants an experienced midfielder after losing McGinn, and Kamara fits the bill.

TBR View – Rangers won’t want to lose Kamara

It will not be easy for Villa to land Kamara. He has been an inspired signing for Steven Gerrard’s side. And having only landed him this year, Rangers may not feel under huge pressure to sell the Finland international.

Rangers look set to go into the second-half of the season with a chance to win three different competitions. With that in mind, it is difficult to imagine the Gers selling Kamara in January.

But that may not put Villa off. Losing McGinn for a substantial period is a massive blow for the club. that the Villans valued the Scotland international at £50 million – and that was before he proved just how good he could be at the highest level.

Smith may deem a signing replacement to be imperative with Villa struggling. And if Kamara is a top target, then perhaps Rangers should still brace themselves for plenty of interest next month.
