that Digne is available following Mykolenko’s arrival. And it was even suggested that Everton would consider loaning the Frenchman out, with Inter Milan and Napoli both interested.

That is something Villa may have to think about. that they are interested in the 28-year-old.

Aston Villa signing Lucas Digne from Everton would be surprising move

Digne has fallen out of favour at Goodison Park of late. And the signing of Mykolenko certainly looks to be ominous for the former Barcelona man. . So the Toffees may welcome the chance to offload him this month.

But he has previously been one of the most impressive left-backs in the top-flight. He has 20 assists in 127 appearances for Everton in all competitions.

that Steven Gerrard has instructed the club to find a new left-back. And Digne would certainly be an exciting option to rival Matt Targett.

Everton do reportedly want £25 million. And that would be a hefty price for a player who turns 29 in the summer.

It would therefore, be a surprise if Villa pursued a deal this month. But a move would make a lot more sense if Everton were open to a compromise on the permanent fee.
