Report: Aston Villa lead pursuit for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson
Aston Villa are reportedly leading the race to try sign Liverpool attacker Harry Wilson.
, Villa are in pole position for the left-footed winger valued at £20million by reigning Premier League champions Liverpool.
It is understood that Liverpool are willing to cash in on him, but so far are yet to drop their £20million asking price.
The report explains that Villa could be prepared to pay as much as £12million for the Wales international and hope that Liverpool lower their valuation.
Meanwhile, the report adds that Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United are also suitors for the 23-year-old alongside Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Southampton.
Despite suffering relegation from the Premier League last season during his loan with Bournemouth, Wilson impressed on the south coast and managed seven goals in 35 games across all competitions for them.

TBR’s View:
Wilson proved last season that he’s definitely top-flight quality, but reports claim Liverpool are prepared to cash in on him and make money from his sale.
His £20million price tag does look quite steep given his experience and perhaps far too big a gamble, but Villa may be spot on at their £12million valuation and it could be a great deal for them if they can negotiate it.
Potential suitors Newcastle shouldn’t view the Liverpool man as a priority considering their recent business in the window, but he could be a decent option for Leeds at Elland Road and they should try get themselves back in the race for him.
