Report: Aston Villa eye double swoop for Michael Olise and David Brooks
Aston Villa did some superb business in the summer and according to , they’re eyeing another swoop on the Football League, with Michael Olise and David Brooks in their sights.
Dean Smith bolstered his ranks with Ollie Watkins from Brentford and Matty Cash from Nottingham Forest during the summer. Both players have looked superb and the transfer policy is paying dividends.
Now, he is set to return to the Championship to take Olise from Reading and Brooks from high-flying Bournemouth.

Teenage midfielder Olise signed a three-year professional deal with the Royals during the summer. He has bagged four goals and claimed eight assists already this season.
Brooks has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs in the past and does have top-flight experience under his belt.
The Cherries trickster is another player who has enjoyed a strong start to the 2020/21 campaign, scoring four goals and registering five assists.
Brooks earns at the Vitality Stadium and the 23-year-old is bound to be attracting interest.
Villa are currently enjoying a far better start to their campaign, sitting eighth in the Premier League, above Chelsea and Arsenal.

In the summer of 2019, shortly after promotion, Villa plunged over £100 million on several players from all corners of Europe.
It backfired and nearly cost them their Premier League status.

Lessons appear to have been learned, however, and the new strategy appears positive.
Plucking young talents from the Championship is clearly the order of the day and that should impress supporters.
Olise and Brooks both look like exciting talents and Villa could complete two more quality signings in the coming weeks.
