The Central African Republic international is a defensive rock in midfield.

He focuses almost exclusively on interrupting opposition attacks, reading passes to make interceptions or by putting a foot in.

He’s also useful in the air, and could benefit from one of Luiz’s exceptional set piece deliveries.

Based on his attributes, Villa could bid for Kondogbia in January regardless of whether Luiz leaves the club.
