Report: Aston Villa and Crystal Palace want Rangers’s Glen Kamara

, Aston Villa are one of four Premier League clubs monitoring Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara.

Kamara only joined the Gers at the start of this year. The Daily Mail reports that he cost just £50,000. But he has proved to be an outstanding signing for Steven Gerrard’s side.

that the Villans want the Finland international, but Crystal Palace, Burnley and Brighton and Hove Albion are all also interested.

Kamara looks to be back to his best after a poor spell earlier this season. So it would be no surprise if Rangers insisted that they had no interest in letting him leave Ibrox.

The 23-year-old looks to be a stalwart in Gerrard’s first-choice midfield. There is definitely an exciting understanding developing between himself, Ryan Jack and Steven Davis.

Given he spent some time in Arsenal’s academy, it would be interesting to know what Kamara makes of the reported interest from the Premier League. He may feel there is some unfinished business given that he left the Gunners without playing in the top flight.

But it looks to be a fantastic time to be at Rangers. The Gers look to be genuine Scottish Premiership title contenders this season. And they are also providing Kamara with the chance to play in the Europa League.

Rangers will surely have little interest in selling if the likes of Villa and Palace come knocking for Kamara. But perhaps, they will take some satisfaction from seeing their bargain signing attract interest from elsewhere so soon after arriving at Ibrox.
