Report: Arteta has set sights on another Brazilian attacker besides Jesus, £51.3m price tag

Arsenal have set their sights on Porto winger Pepê, according to Portuguese outlet .

The Gunners are currently on the lookout for attacking players who can bolster their ranks.

Arsenal currently have just two centre-forwards, who are both out of contract in the summer.

In addition, Nicolas Pepe also faces an uncertain future at the Emirates.

According to the , Arsenal will hold talks with their record signing at the end of the season.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus in recent weeks.

Now, it looks as though Mikel Arteta is looking at another Brazilian to potentially bring to north London.

A Bola – via – claims the Gunners have been following Pepê’s progress with Porto.

Arsenal could potentially make a move for the 26-year-old this summer, adds the report.

Pepê is said to be ‘one of the well referenced names’ in Arteta’s office.

The Arsenal boss reportedly ‘appreciates the winger’s qualities and his capacity of adapting to many positions on the pitch’.

A Bola also claims Pepê has a €60m (£51.3m) release clause and notes that his contract runs until 2026.

Pepê came through the ranks at Foz do Iguacu, before joining Gremio in 2016.

He spent five years at Grêmio, where he made 144 appearances and scored 32 goals.

Pepê also won the Campeonato Gaucho four consecutive times.

In 2021, Porto signed the former Brazil Under-23 forward for a reported €15m (£13m).

Pepê has made 40 appearances for Porto, registering six goals and five assists.

He has won this season’s Portuguese Primeira Liga title.
