Report: Arsenal, West Ham and Wolves want to sign Jose Sa

A number of Premier League teams including Arsenal, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Olympiakos goalkeeper Jose Sa.

, Sa has been in inspiring form for the Champions League outfit and is a big reason why they currently sit top of the Greek Superleague table.

Olympiakos are by far and away the best team in the division defensively, having conceded just three so far

The Portugal international has kept seven clean sheets in ten games, and 12 in 20 in all competitions.

Sa only joined Olympiakos permanently this summer after spending 2018/19 on loan from FC Porto.

It is thought the 26-year-old has a £13 million release clause.

TBR’s view – West Ham most in need?

At this current moment in time, it would appear West Ham are the team most in need of a new goalkeeper, with Roberto really struggling to convince at the London Stadium.

He appears to be a big downgrade on the injured Lukas Fabianski, and is seemingly putting extra pressure on his defence rather than inspiring confidence.

Arsenal and Wolves have solid options in Bernd Leno and Rui Patricio, and would perhaps only consider Sa as a potential backup option – although £13 million is a very reasonable price for a backup.
