And now, French o claims that the Gunners have put Jimenez on a shortlist of potential signings should they lose their key talisman Aubameyang over the coming months.

Wolves, of course, would be loathed to lose their star striker. They have already warded off potential interest from Manchester United, while Jimenez has previously acknowledged links to the likes of Real Madrid.

Jimenez has been the focal point for Nuno Santo’s men all season long. His durability, as well as his goal contributions, make him the ideal candidate to potentially replace the Gabon star at The Emirates.

Tremendous business but can Arsenal afford it – TBR View

That’s the big question and one that the answer to is probably a no.

Jimenez has been touted as being mark by Wolves. Surely, then, Arsenal won’t be paying such an astronomical sum for the forward.

However, is Aubameyang does go, then there is money spare in terms of wages. They’d also need a quality addition who can guarantee goals.

Jimenez, then, is certainly capable of filling the void.
