Report: Arsenal eye Ronaldo-inspired goal-getter; club have already made contact

Arsenal reportedly want to sign Frankfurt striker, Andre Silva, this summer, with the club having told the forward they would like him to come to London.

That’s according to respected journalist Duncan Castles, who was speaking on his .

However, according to Castles, the club need to sell first. And he claims Arsenal will look to move Alexandre Lacazette on, before moving for Silva.

“Frankfurt are asking for £34.35m for the player. There is an expectation that that won’t be achieved, and that they will be forced to sell him for less money. Leipzig certainly don’t want to pay that. Arsenal have expressed their interest and have done a lot of propriety work on this deal,” Castles said.

“They have told Andre Silva that they need to sell before they can bring him in. But they want to do that deal. And the player they have targeted sell is Alexandre Lacazette.”

Silva is certainly a fine player. He scored more goals in Germany last year than Erling Haaland. Further, he has also been courted by Pep Guardiola and Manchester City in recent weeks.

Arsenal to get Andre Silva? He’s a fine player who will improve them

Arsenal look to be going all out this summer and Silva certainly fits the bill in terms of goals.

He banged in more than 30 in all competitions last term and . Not the worst forward in world football to base your game on, eh?

But for the here and now, Silva is ideal for the Gunners. He’s the right age, a top class finisher, and can improve further. £34m isn’t a brutal fee to pay either in the modern market.

If Arsenal pull this off, then the Gunners fans will surely be delighted.
