Mikel Arteta is looking for the kind of signings who can help take the Gunners into the top four battle. His side sit 10th in the Premier League, but are only six points behind so are certainly nowhere near out of the race.

that one of the players he wants is Calhanoglu. The 25-year-old is reportedly available this month and is keen to leave on loan ahead of Euro 2020.

TBR View – Can Arsenal land Calhanoglu?
It is somewhat surprising that the Rossoneri are reportedly willing to let Calhanoglu go. The Turkey international has started their last six games, including Saturday’s win over Cagliari.
But if he is available, he could arguably be a shrewd signing for the Gunners. His form this season has been underwhelming. But he provided 13 assists across the previous two Serie A campaigns.
Admittedly, Arsenal have struggled to uncover a gem when signing players on loan in recent years. And Calhanoglu’s record this season suggests that he may not arrive at the Emirates in the best form.
But Arteta has already had a positive impact on a number of players since his arrival. And perhaps the Gunners feel that he can also get the best out of the set-piece specialist – if a deal can be agreed with Milan.
