Report: Arsenal trying to land two Championship stars
Arsenal keen to land Sheffield United duo Sander Berge and Aaron Ramsdale. The Gunners are trying to negotiate a package with the Blades that would see both players go to North London.
Arsenal will resurrect their interest in the duo as Mikel Arteta seeks to finalise his squad for 2021/22.
Ramsdale hasn’t been back in training long. He got the nod to replace the injured Dean Henderson as England’s third-choice goalkeeper at Euro 2020.
has previously claimed that he is valued at £40 million by the Championship outfit who would love to keep their goalkeeper.

Ramsdale endured a tricky start to life back at Sheffield United. He soon settled though and finished the season with a flourish.
Berge wasn’t quite at his best during 2020/21. The 23-year-old played 16 times and struggled massively with injury problems.
Like Ramsdale, he is valued in the region of by Sheffield United.
Arsenal have signed Ben White, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares during the summer and don’t appear to be finished yet.
Arsenal should turn attention elsewhere
Signing two players from the team who finished rock bottom last season would hardly make for two exciting additions.
Ramsdale and Berge both have bright futures but given the money they’d probably cost, Arsenal might be wise to look elsewhere.

Arsenal do still have gaps in their squad. Another central midfielder would be welcome, whilst a backup goalkeeper is a must.
The Sheffield United duo would help fill those voids but ultimately they’d be an underwhelming couple of signing for Arsenal.
