Report: Arsenal to recall Matteo Guendouzi from Hertha Berlin loan
Arsenal are set to recall Matteo Guendouzi from his loan spell with Hertha Berlin this month,
The midfield maestro fell out of favour under Mikel Arteta and was loaned to the Bundesliga club during the summer transfer window.
A deal had been agreed which would see the youngster sign permanently in the summer for £29 million.

however, that Berlin are unable to afford such a deal, despite Guendouzi impressing during his loan spell.
Arsenal are now set to recall the player who has scored twice and registered one assist in 10 appearances for Berlin.
Guendouzi’s efforts haven’t gone unnoticed by Arsenal in Germany. It isn’t clear, however, whether he’ll go back into the Gunners squad or moved on.
The 21-year-old signed for the Gunners from Lorient back in 2018 and was deemed a potential future star.
He cost and was instantly placed into the first-team by former boss Unai Emery.
In total he has played 82 times for Arsenal, scoring once and claiming five assists.

A lot has happened in the time since Guendouzi departed and recently the Gunners have improved.
Thomas Partey is set to return from injury and that hands Arteta a full quote of midfield options available.

Granit Xhaka, Mohamed Elneny and Dani Ceballos are all battling with Partey for a place in midfield.
With that in mind, it seems illogical that Guendouzi will come back and make an impact.
Given that Arteta banished him from his plans it seems unlikely that he has a future at the Emirates Stadium.
