Report: Arsenal target reaches ‘decisive turning point’; player now set to join side on loan
Arsenal have seemingly lost the race for Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli.
, Juventus have reached a ‘decisive turning point’ in talks for the Italian playmaker.
As per the report, Locatelli will join the Old Lady on loan with an obligation to buy next summer.

The report also states that to sweeten the deal, Sassuolo will receive 19-year-old defender Radu Dragusin on a permanent deal.
Arsenal were keen on Manuel Locatelli
, Arsenal were willing to offer Sassuolo €40m (£34m) for Locatelli this summer.
However, the former AC Milan star has made it clear from day one that he wants to move to Juventus.

Moreover, his performances for the Azzurri in Euro 2020 have seemingly given the Italian giants the push they needed to sign the midfielder.
Arsenal have already signed one midfielder this summer in the form of R.S.C. Anderlecht youngster Albert Sambi Lokonga. However, the Gunners are eager to add an extra man in this position this summer.

Granit Xhaka is likely to leave for AS Roma in the coming weeks. And with Emile Smith Rowe the club’s only natural playmaker, Arsenal need more creative quality in the squad.
Indeed, Locatelli would have been a phenomenal addition to the squad this summer. However, it appears that Juventus have well and truly won the race for the 23-year-old Euro 2020 winner.
