Report: Arsenal star rejects offer from second club; ‘given his word’ to join European giants

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has reportedly turned down a second Serie A club to join Jose Mourinho at AS Roma.

, the Swiss international is edging closer and closer to joining the Roman side this week.

As per the report, Xhaka has rejected an approach from a second Italian club and has ‘given his word’ to the Giallorossi that he will join them from Arsenal.

Xhaka is already in Rome for this summer’s Euro competition with Switzerland, and as earlier this week, the deal could be completed this week.

Indeed, the 28-year-old midfielder is one of three Arsenal players in that position who could leave this window.
