Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is reportedly on the verge of ending his seven-and-a-half year spell at the Emirates Stadium.

, the Gunners have reached an “agreement in principle” to terminate the 32-year-old’s deal this month.

It is claimed that the German was set to earn £7million between now and the end of his contract in June, but an agreement may now have been reached to cut his deal short.

The report states that the left-footed playmaker has agreed a deal with Turkish side Fenerbahce and he’ll now travel this weekend to finalise a move.

Ozil hasn’t played a single first-team minute this season after being frozen out of the first-team squad by manager Mikel Arteta and it looks like his transfer saga may finally be drawing to a close.

Pundit Micah Richards has called him “sensational” in a on Friday and there is no doubt he’s one of the most talented individuals to play for the Gunners in recent memory.

But his time with them is ending on a sour note, as he he now looks set to make a move into Turkish football.

The attacking midfielder will leave Arsenal having made 254 appearances for them, scoring 44 goals and supplying 77 assists.

TBR’s View:

Finally, it looks like Ozil is on his way out at Arsenal.

Arsenal supporters have grown fed up of his situation this summer and he may have just sat on the sidelines making millions in the second half of the season, but he’ll be playing elsewhere.

He’ll be fondly remembered for the few years at the club, as he was a superstar in their ranks and so often played the eye-catching football that made the Gunners a great watch.

But they are now moving into a new era where the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe are emerging as young attacking talents.
