Arsenal are eyeing a move to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Neto this month as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his goalkeeping department.
The Sun claims that the La Liga player is on the radar of the Gunners as they seek backup for Bernd Leno.
Arsenal allowed Emi Martinez to leave the Emirates Stadium during the summer, replacing him with youngster Runar Runarsson.
The young Norwegian endured a torrid outing against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup, however, and a loan seems likely.
Attention has now turned to Neto who has made six appearances for Barcelona this season.
He is, however, typically viewed as the second choice behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Barcelona have Inaki Pena and Arnau Tenas who are both viewed as young prospects and as a result, Neto could be allowed to leave.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed a steady career, playing for Fiorentina, Valencia and Juventus, winning six trophies along the way.

Bernd Leno is the established number one at Arsenal and any new arrival would initially play backup.
Signing Neto could be a masterstroke though, not least because it gives the German some proper competition again.
No disrespect to Runarsson but as a young, raw stopper, Leno has the mindset that he is easily the best goalkeeper at the club.
Having Neto putting the pressure on him to perform every single day could make the 28-year-old an even better stopper.
It would also give Arsenal two solid senior goalkeepers once again and that could bode well moving forwards.
The Barcelona man looks like an attractive addition for the Gunners to make this month.
