Report: Arsenal register interest in 29-year-old Arteta was asked about last term; but Spurs are also keen
Arsenal have registered an interest in signing Spurs target Isco this summer, that the North London pair are waiting to see whether Real Madrid decide to let the 29-year-old leave.
Isco could be on the move in the coming weeks. As noted in the report, his contract at the Bernabeu expires next year. He will reportedly not be offered fresh terms.
, Carlo Ancelotti will make a decision this coming week on whether to sell the midfielder this summer.
Should he open the door, a queue of admirers will be waiting.
The report claims that Arsenal have registered an interest. Tottenham meanwhile, are also in the running. AC Milan would also be keen.
Interestingly, the Mirror adds that Isco could cost just £6 million plus add-ons.
He is reportedly keen to play in Europe next year, which may hand Spurs a narrow advantage over their North London rivals with Nuno Espirito Santo’s men set to compete in the Europa Conference League.

In previous years, it would not have come as a huge surprise to see Arsenal target Isco. He is a player with over 330 games for Real Madrid.
However, based on the early stages of this window, it would arguably be a shock if the Gunners did make a move.
They have signed Nuno Tavares. And moves for Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ben White look to be in the pipeline.
They are all younger players with room to develop significantly. Isco meanwhile, will be 30 by the end of next season.
And he has arguably never quite managed to realise his full potential with Los Blancos.
He is a player Mikel Arteta . And he did not exactly shut down the rumours altogether as he insisted that he would not talk about individual players.
Admittedly, the £6 million asking price may remove a lot of the risk. But signing Willian on a free transfer last year has backfired massively.
Arsenal look to have learned from that error. So surely, they are not planning to capitalise if Ancelotti tells Isco he can leave.
