Report: Arsenal receive potential boost as Roma prepare to sell Amadou Diawara
Arsenal have seen their chances of signing Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara increase after the Serie A side named their price for the player.
Roma want to recoup £27 million for the midfielder and are keen to cash in as they look to go on their own summer recruitment spree.
With that in mind, it would seem as though the Italians are prepared to offload Diawara and Arsenal are firmly in contention to capture the Guinea international.

The 23-year-old played 31 times for the Serie A outfit in all competitions last season; collecting seven cautions in the process.
His combative style would certainly complement the Arsenal midfield and it’s thought that Diawara has been bumped up the shortlist after the chances of signing Thomas Partey decreased.
Atletico Madrid want £45 million for the Ghana international and it would appear the Gunners have been priced out of that particular deal this summer.
Mikel Arteta has been given the go-ahead to reshape the squad he inherited from Unai Emery and has so far added Willian to his ranks.
Gabriel Magalhaes could be the next player through the door with the defender heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium .
TBR View – Diawara would perhaps be solid if unspectacular
The man with 10 Guinea caps would be welcomed at the Emirates as it highlights an area where Arteta needs to strengthen.

That said, he isn’t Thomas Partey and that would have perhaps been the dream signing for a lot of supporters.
It does, however, represent a small sign of the times for Gunners and without Champions League it’s hard to see them landing Partey any time soon.
Diawara will certainly be capable of doing a job and has plenty of top-level experience having played for Napoli and Roma in Serie A.
The jury will perhaps remain out, to begin with, but in time he might be capable of showing Arsenal fans exactly what he is capable of.
