Report: Arsenal plot summer move for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon
Arsenal are being linked with a move for Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Manor Solomon, who is a highly-rated talent that is beginning to earn a reputation on the European stage.
, the Gunners are lining up a bid to sign the 21-year-old in the summer window when they have more transfer funds available.
It is explained that Arsenal are unlikely to have the financial power to sign him this month, as he’d cost a “substantial fee”.
The report states that Mikel Arteta’s side have held talks with the player’s representatives and have scouted him heavily, but a summer move is on the cards.
Solomon is a key player for Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, who impressed in the Champions League group stages this season before dropping down to the Europa League.
The skilful winger scored in both group stage matches against Real Madrid, while in the previous season he scored against Manchester City.

TBR’s View:
An extra wide player doesn’t look like it should be a priority for Arsenal, as they’ve got the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Willian and Nicolas Pepe that can play on the wings.
Solomon does look a special talent though, so perhaps it makes sense to throw their name into the hat for him.
The Israel international is a left-winger that has a great low centre of gravity and explosive pace with the ball at his feet, which is why he’d be a big crowd-pleaser if he did end up at the Emirates Stadium.
He’s a diminutive wide player that can be compared to Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Pedro Neto with his directness, speed, and individual ability, so is definitely a player to keep an eye out for.
