Report: Arsenal plot move for 18-y/o talent; once the youngest player to play in major league
Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for 18-year-old Portuguese youngster Matchoi Djalo.
, the teenage talent is available this summer for just £1m and is viewed by the Gunners as a prospect who could flourish in the long term.
Arsenal are keen to improve the quality in their youth squads after the U-18s and U-23s unimpressed last campaign.

Indeed, Djalo was once the youngest player to ever play in the Portuguese top-flight. The midfielder made his debut for Pacos de Ferreira in August 2019 at just 16-years-old and 122 days.
The versatile right-footed starlet was a target for Juventus, Everton and Southampton following his breakout appearance two years ago. However, Djalo is yet to nail down a first-team spot with Pacos.
With Arsenal looking for quality in their youth squads, Djalo could be an exciting addition to the club. The midfielder is a regular with Portugal at U-19 level.

Moreover, with the likes of Miguel Azeez and Ben Cottrell likely to have first-team roles with Arsenal next season, there is a spot in the U-23 and U-18 side for a creative midfielder.
Furthermore, at a reported £1m, Djalo will be a low-risk venture for Arsenal. The midfielder might develop otherworldly talent on their hands.
Or, the youngster could be sold for profit in a few years should the midfielder not develop into a first-team player.
