Report: Arsenal open talks to sign Euro 2020 midfielder, told he will cost £30m
that Arsenal have begun talks to sign Lille midfielder Renato Sanches this summer. The Portuguese talent caught the eye at Euro 2020 with string of solid displays for his country. Now, Arsenal are in negotiations with the Ligue 1 champions to sign Sanches.
Sanches, 23, has rejuvenated his career after massive early potential – but failing to live up to the hype. Joining Bayern, he struggled in Germany and even went on loan to Swansea. But moving to France with Lille has seen Sanches rediscover his best form, helping them beat PSG to the title.
Arsenal have been linked for much of the summer. Now, TMW say that Arsenal have opened talks with Lille over a move for Sanches. The Gunners have been told that the North Londoners will have to spend £30million to bring Sanches back to the Premier League for a second stint.
Edu is not alone in his pursuit of Sanches, though. Liverpool are also considering a move, according to .

Sanches is excellent value for Arsenal at £30million, amid talks
So much so that they are unlikely to be the only club tracking Sanches. Can Arsenal convince Sanches? Well, earlier this summer he responded to Gabriel telling him to go to Arsenal on Instagram – stating he was waiting for his invitation. But could he really move to a club not in Europe?
Lille have qualified for the Champions League and his performances over the past couple of seasons are certainly deserving of playing in that competition. But it is clear that Sanches could be tempted by Arsenal. A move definitely has a chance of materialising in the coming weeks.
