Madueke left Tottenham only three years ago, but could return to the Premier League this summer, after impressing in Holland.
Arsenal are among a clutch of English teams now competing to land the winger, who is capped up to under-21 level by the Three Lions.
Madueke certainly would fit the mould of what Arsenal are looking for.
Edu and Mikel Arteta seem to have targeted youngsters with high potential this summer, as they look to use the Gunners boss’s renowned skill on the training ground.
A lavish purchase?
Madueke may not be the most imperative purchase for Arsenal, though.

Arteta’s side actually look well stocked in the wing positions, but it may have been decided that the opportunity to land Madueke was simply too good to turn.
The rapid 19-year-old has already netted four goals in four games this season, after hitting nine in 32 appearances in the previous campaign.
Madueke is a talented dribbler, as well as a proficient finisher.
And if he was to arrive at Arsenal he could be another exciting addition to their squad over the long-term.
