Report: Arsenal now just working on structure of deal to sign ‘exceptional’ player, confident it’ll get sorted

Arsenal are now working on the structure of their deal to sign Brazil striker Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.

report that the Gunners are now the clear frontrunners to sign the hitman after months of talks over the deal.

They say that Arsenal have not yet met City’s asking price, but they are expected to put forward a deal which suits all parties.

A first offer of £30 million was rejected but Arsenal will submit an improved bid, and they are confident that a deal will get done.

Arsenal working on structure of Jesus deal

Arsenal’s approach to get to the right figure is expected to be a guaranteed transfer fee and then some bonuses added in there.

Jesus is entering the final year of his City contract but the reigning champions are not about to let him leave on the cheap.

They have no financial pressure to sell, even though Jesus’ exit looks inevitable with Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez already through the door.

The Brazil international is an ‘‘ striker, according to Pep Guardiola, although as mentioned above, he has signed two strikers to replace him.

Former Gunners hitman Kevin Campbell suggested that Jesus is the best pressing forward in the world, and that fits into exactly what Arsenal need.

He was excellent for Manchester City this past season, and it seems that it is only a matter of time before he is an Arsenal player.
