Report: Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka remains main priority for Roma
Roma remain hugely keen on signing Arsenal midfielder, Granit Xhaka, according to reports coming out of Italy this weekend.
The Swiss star is said to be on the radar of new Roma boss, Jose Mourinho.
claim this weekend that Xhaka is the ‘first goal’ of the Italian club this summer. It states that discussions are already underway, although Arsenal are believed to be holding out for around £25m.

This latest report follows on from suggestions earlier in the week that claimed Roma wanted a quick deal for Xhaka. As covered by TBR, the Serie A side are thought to want the transfer done before the Euros.
Xhaka still has two years to run on a . He has played an important role under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.
However, with a summer rebuild once again looking likely, it’s thought Xhaka is a player who could be sacrificed.
Xhaka has split opinion ever since he arrived at the club. He caused ruptions when he walked off the pitch and had a spat with the fans at The Emirates. But in fairness to him, this season he has done his job for Arteta, despite the inconsistent form of the Gunners.
Arsenal need this sorting quickly or it could drag on
Arsenal seem to be experts in taking an age with transfers. We saw yesterday that in terms of incomings, this is a nightmare, with Emi Buendia now joining Aston Villa.
The same can be said for outgoings. The club cannot afford to let things rumble on and on. With Xhaka, if they want to sell, then they need to strike a deal quickly.
Yes, they want value for money for the midfielder. But Arteta needs time to get other players in, so this needs resolving ASAP.
