that Arsenal have made an approach to sign AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie in the last few days, but the Italian club have told the Gunners that he is not for sale – at the moment.
Kessie, 23, has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Premier League. Wolverhampton Wanderers have been heavily linked, while West Ham are also credited with an interest on a regular basis. Now, Arsenal are keen.
A 39-time Ivory Coast international, Kessie has been in excellent form for Milan again – clocking up 24 appearances in all competitions this season, reaching 120 in total for the Serie A giants. He has a contract until the summer of 2022.
The report claims ‘in recent days’ there have been advances from Arsenal, but Milan have said no. As we approach the summer, though, a move could materialise. Milan will let Kessie go for £26million.

TBR’s view – Kessie tenacity just what Arteta blueprint requires
Since taking over as Arsenal boss, Arteta has encouraged his Gunners players to show grit, determination, hard work and aggression. Kessie has all of those traits in abundance from the middle of the park.
Twin that with the fact Arsenal are lacking in options in central midfield, given Dani Ceballos will return to Madrid in the summer, the Kessie would be a top signing – especially for a fee of just £26million.
