Report: Arsenal face Dortmund battle for striker Armando Broja
Arsenal will face a battle with Borussia Dortmund to sign Armando Broja this summer, , with the Bundesliga side obviously eyeing potential replacements for Erling Haaland.
Haaland is set to be one of the names to look out for this summer. who want to sign the Norwegian in the coming months.
And of course, his potential departure from Westfalenstadion will pile the pressure on any striker that Dortmund do sign. It will certainly be a big statement about the ability they believe his replacement may have.
And it seems that one of the names on their radar is a player Arsenal are very keen on.
Reports claimed that the Gunners are monitoring Broja as he continues to impress on loan at Southampton. The Albania international has nine goals in all competitions.
Mikel Arteta is apparently a big fan of the 20-year-old. that Dortmund also want the Chelsea loanee.
Dortmund interest should encourage Arsenal in pursuit of Armando Broja
Broja is not the finished article just yet. He has experienced a couple of lengthy spells without a goal since moving to the south coast.
But he looks to be a real prospect. He has been labelled ‘sensational‘ this season.
And the idea that Dortmund want him amid speculation over Haaland should only encourage Arsenal further. Clearly, others see the youngster having a huge ceiling in the years to come. Chelsea apparently value him at £58 million.
Arsenal have really benefitted from signing players a few years from their peak this season. And they absolutely need a couple of strikers through the door.
Beating Dortmund to Broja’s signature would be a real statement for Arsenal.
