Report: Arsenal eye Gareth Bale in Alexandre Lacazette swap
Arsenal have apparently suggested a swap deal with Real Madrid that would involve Alexandre Lacazette moving to the Bernabeu in January and Gareth Bale coming to the Emirates, .
Lacazette looks set to leave the Gunners in the coming months. Defensa Central notes that his contract expires in 2022.

Given that Lacazette can agree a pre-contract deal with a foreign club in January and Arsenal are now going to struggle to attract a big fee, you would imagine that Mikel Arteta would be prepared to keep him for the rest of the campaign.
The 30-year-old – – has not always had the easiest time in North London. But his record remains a decent one. So he could still have a part to play this term.

Having said that, reports in Spain claim that Arsenal are working on one of the most baffling swap deals football has seen.
that the Gunners have offered Lacazette to Real. And in exchange, they would like Bale.
It is claimed that they would need the Welshman to drop his wage demands.
But they also suggest that Los Blancos have rejected the proposal. They are no longer interested in Lacazette.
TBR View: Surely there is no chance Arsenal have offered Lacazette in an attempt to get Bale
It is dangerous to rule anything out in the transfer window. But a swap deal involving Lacazette and Bale is surely never going to happen.
Bale obviously has strong ties with Arsenal’s biggest rivals. He also did not have the best time in the Premier League last year. And he currently finds himself sidelined with injury.
Lacazette therefore, has a better chance of helping Arteta’s men this season.
Arsenal have come in for criticism at times when it comes to offloading their players.
But everything that has come before would be nothing compared to what they could expect if they pursued a swap deal involving Bale and Lacazette.
