Report: Arsenal boost after Gunners make £34m bid; rival ‘some distance’ from meeting club’s demands
Arsenal fans may be very interested by that Juventus are ‘some distance’ from meeting Sassuolo’s demands for Manuel Locatelli.
The Gunners look to have set their sights on making a huge statement in the summer window.

It was recently reported that Arsenal had made a £34 million bid for Locatelli. But it also appeared that they faced an uphill battle to bring the midfielder to the Emirates.
, Locatelli only wants to join Juventus. However, the Old Lady are yet to match Arsenal’s bid.
And in fact, Calciomercato claims that there is ‘some distance’ between Juve and Sassuolo.

While the latter want £34 million, Juventus are reportedly keen to take Locatelli on loan with an obligation to buy.
There have also been talks about a player moving in the opposite direction. However, the two clubs are struggling to agree on the valuation of those being proposed.
Calciomercato does note that an agreement remains possible. But Arsenal will surely take some encouragement from the reports.
Arsenal will surely soon learn if they have beaten Juventus to Locatelli signature
Of course, Locatelli may not make an imminent decision. He is now off for a break after Italy’s Euro 2020 win.
But a resolution surely cannot that be far away. Arsenal have an offer on the table. So Sassuolo can dig their heels in in talks with Juventus.
They can walk away if they cannot compromise.
That is positive news for Arsenal. Even if he does move to Turin, the Gunners will welcome knowing where they stand.
Mikel Arteta’s side need an attacking-minded midfielder. And if Locatelli is not going to be the man to fill the void, Arsenal need to get on with pursuing other targets.
