According to the , Arsenal have made a £36 million bid for Everton Soares. With a deal for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha unlikely to be reached, the Gunners have turned their attention towards the Gremio attacker.
However, the north London outfit face competition for the 23-year-old’s signature. Napoli are apparently also interested in the Brazilian.
It is unsurprising that Everton is attracting such attention. He enjoyed a fine campaign last season. The versatile winger scored six goals in 15 appearances for Gremio. He built upon his domestic success with a fine showing for his country at this summer’s Copa America too. The 12-cap international racked up three goals and two assists at the tournament. He even managed to score in the final as Brazil succeeded in lifting the trophy on home turf.

Everton would be a fine addition to Unai Emery’s squad. The Gunners desperately need to add a new winger to their ranks this season, having released Danny Welbeck earlier in the summer. Everton would bring flair, pace and creativity to the flanks for Arsenal, and also poses a genuine goal threat.
It may take him some time to adapt to English football. Eventually, however, he would be expected to flourish at the Emirates Stadium. He certainly has the talent to shine in the Premier League.
