Report: Arsenal and Liverpool warned as Mendes decides ‘most suitable’ club for £29.5m target

Jorge Mendes wants Arsenal and Liverpool target Renato Sanches to move in January, that he sees AC Milan as the most suitable club for the midfielder.

Sanches is attracting a raft of attention as he continues to impress with Lille and Portugal. The 24-year-old has been restricted to eight appearances across Ligue 1 and the Champions League this term due to injury.

Lille, unsurprisingly, do not want to let him leave on the cheap. Calciomercato reports that they want at least £29.5 million for the former Swansea City loanee.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool want Sanches. But it would appear that his agent would like him to head elsewhere.

that Mendes sees the Rossoneri as the most suitable club for his client. It is suggested that both the Gunners and the Reds have been warned with Milan very keen on the player.

Kessie uncertainty helping push Arsenal and Liverpool target Sanches towards Milan?

Milan, of course, are in danger of losing one of their own key midfielders in the coming months. It has been claimed that Franck Kessie has put his house on the market with his contract up next summer.

He is wanted by the likes of Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain.

Sanches is a different kind of midfielder, with Kessie used more defensively by Milan. But his departure would free up space in the squad and on the wage bill that would potentially help with a move for a player such as Sanches.

There is a possible scenario therefore, which could see Tottenham getting Kessie and dealing Arsenal a blow in their pursuit of Sanches in the process.
