Report: Arsenal and Everton to launch £25m Celtic raid to land Odsonne Edouard

, Arsenal and Everton are ready to ramp up their interest in Celtic star, Odsonne Edouard.

The Gunners are keen on landing the striker this summer, with Mikel Arteta a big fan of the 22-year-old.

However, Arsenal will not have it all their own way, with Everton also keen on making a move for the French under-21 international.

could be enough to tempt Celtic into selling. Having scored 62 times since arriving in Scotland from PSG, Edouard is one of the most coveted players north of the border for English clubs.

Edouard has been in fine form this season for the Bhoys. The striker has netted 27 times in all competitions and netted in both league games against Rangers.

Celtic, of course, will want to keep hold of their best players. However, the club will know that players have their price and they could well be tempted to cash in on their man.

Some players just seem to have the knack of scoring goals and Odsonne Edouard certainly seems to be one of those players.

Yes, the arguments will be put forward that the Scottish league is a different standard. But this is a man who knows where the goal is.

He’s scored both domestically and in Europe. In fact, but for missing a couple of group games in the Europa League, Celtic might well have enjoyed different fortunes.

Money will eventually talk with this one. £25m is an awful lot of money for Celtic to bring in. Everton needs another forward while Mikel Arteta seems determined to improve his own squad.

Edouard would, you’d assume, be a fine fit for either side.
