Report: Arsenal and Everton still likely to monitor Tariq Lamptey
Everton and Arsenal are likely to continue monitoring Tariq Lamptey, that his asking price will remain similar even after he signed a new contract at Brighton.
Lamptey’s future has been a talking point for some time. He has been an outstanding signing for the Seagulls since arriving in the previous January window.

The Athletic reports that Arsenal, Everton and Manchester City were admirers of the 20-year-old. But it appeared that he had put an end to speculation about his future.
He signed a new contract with Brighton last week. that his fresh terms will see him earn £40,000-a-week at the Amex Stadium.

But any Brighton fans hoping that that would end talk about his future are seemingly set for disappointment. According to The Athletic, the likes of the Gunners and Toffees are set to continue keeping an eye on the right-back.
Interestingly, the report has claimed that his asking price is unlikely to have changed dramatically, despite his new contract.
TBR View: Brighton fans will have expected speculation to continue, but asking price claim is surprising
It is good news that Lamptey looks set to go nowhere this month. But most Brighton fans will have been aware that a new deal was always unlikely to end all of the speculation.
What they may be disappointed with however, is the notion that his asking price remains similar.
Of course, it would have already been fairly high given his age and the impact he has made. But they would have hoped that tying him down for four-and-a-half years on £40,000-a-week would ensure that Brighton net an even larger fee further down the line.
