Report: Arsenal and Aston Villa among clubs interested in Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa

Arsenal and Aston Villa are reportedly both interested in trying to sign Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa from London club Fulham.

, Arsenal and Villa are among the clubs monitoring the 25-year-old, with Everton also keen.

It is understood that Fulham are “likely” to sell the midfielder at the end of the season after their relegation from the Premier League was confirmed on Monday night following the defeat to Burnley.

The report states Fulham want around £20million for the player’s sale this summer, and Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta views him as someone that can play alongside Thomas Partey in the Gunners midfield.

Meanwhile, Villa are looking at possible transfer options as they look to build this summer, and Everton would need to sell first before a transfer move for the £67,000-a-week () star.

TBR’s View:

It’s been a disappointing season for Scott Parker’s Fulham that has ultimately ended in relegation back to the Championship. However, there has been plenty of bright sparks.

Anguissa, 25, is a defensive midfielder that has been a regular in the starting XI at Craven Cottage.

He’s a powerful midfielder with strength, energy and aggression in his work.

If Arsenal are looking to add extra steel at the Emirates Stadium, the Fulham man ticks plenty of boxes. Unfortunately, the north London club may need to look at these types of targets if they can’t tempt elite players without the offer of European football.

Villa are a team on the up under Dean Smith, but they could certainly do with a bit more physicality in the centre of the pitch if they’re looking to improve next year.
