Arsenal fans would be forgiven for focusing most of their attention on the situation surrounding Thomas Partey, , it would appear that the midfielder may not be the only player closing in on a move to the Emirates on deadline day.
, Arsenal are set to trigger Partey’s £45 million release clause. Meanwhile, Partey may be followed into North London by Omar Rekik.

, Arsenal have agreed a £900,000 fee with Hertha for Omar Rekik.
It is noted by the Mail that Rekik still needs to undergo a medical before completing his move. And the Mail adds that he is set to be a part of their under-23 squad.

The 18-year-old has been named on Hertha’s bench in the past. But he has predominantly featured for the club’s second team. They play in Germany’s fourth tier.
Rekik has made an impression as a centre-back. But he is a player who is also capable of pushing into a holding midfield role.
Despite his position, he is a player who also makes a contribution in the final third. At youth level, he has scored a number of goals and provided plenty of assists.
Of course, that may not be what Arsenal have been particularly impressed by. But perhaps, that may help the teenager stand out further should he complete a £900,000 move before the deadline passes.
