It is claimed that the Belgian side are hopeful of signing Tottenham’s back-up goalie on a free transfer in the summer.

Vorm initially left Tottenham on a free transfer last summer but was re-signed by Mauricio Pochettino in October after Hugo Lloris dislocated his elbow. at the time, the Argentine made it clear that Vorm is a much-loved face at Spurs.

“He arrived in a sad moment because Hugo injured but in the same way, he’s a face that we all love.

“The players love him and the coaching staff and the club love him. He was a player who we signed when we first arrived.”

However, Paolo Gazzaniga acted as the immediate cover for Lloris and Vorm has played just once since his return to North London, in the FA Cup defeat to Norwich City.

The 36-year-old is not expected to stick around at Spurs in the summer and it appears that a move to join former Manchester City defender and current Anderlecht manager Vincent Kompany in Brussels is on the cards.
