Report: Ancelotti told he won’t have funds to sign £30m Liverpool and Arsenal target he wants

Liverpool and Arsenal are amongst the clubs who have potentially received a boost in their pursuit of Houssem Aouar that Carlo Ancelotti wants the France international.

Aouar looks to be one of the most highly sought-after players in Europe in this window.

Recent reports suggested that the Reds, the Gunners and Tottenham Hotspur all want the midfielder.

that Liverpool may lead the race. Lyon want £30 million for the 23-year-old.

And it appears that his list of Premier League admirers may have received a boost in the race.

, Ancelotti wants Aouar at Real Madrid. However, he has been told that he will have to wait until next summer to do the majority of the strengthening to his squad.

The report claims that Los Blancos are prioritising a superstar signing – such as Kylian Mbappe – this summer. And thus, they do not have the funds for further reinforcements.

That means that moves for targets like Aouar are out of the question this summer.

Previous reports hints Madrid decision on Aouar could provide big lift for likes of Liverpool and Arsenal

Of course, it would probably be foolish to write to write Real off. If they fail to land a new Galatico, they may feel compelled to look further down their wishlist.

But it does look to be positive news for the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal – precisely because Aouar may have struggled to turn down a switch to the Bernabeu.

According to reports earlier this year, Aouar wanted to join either Real or Barcelona amid links with Arsenal.

Barca certainly do not appear to be in the best position to part with significant sums this summer. And now it seems Madrid have taken themselves out of the running.
